please note:
Authenticity of Student
Work:
- At the beginning of
the course you will be asked to sign an authenticity statement.
- Where you have copied
sentences, paragraphs or graphics you must give quotation marks and give
the source.
- You will be asked to
sign all assessment tasks to say that it is your own work.
- If there is any sign
of collaboration then you will receive a No Credit.
- Your teacher may ask
to see your log book or work in progress to ensure confidentiality
- In a situation where
you and the teacher cannot agree on an assessment decision register an appeal
with the HOD of ICT who will investigate the problem.
Deadlines:
- All work must be handed
in on the due date unless you have been given an extension by the HOD of
ICT or you have a medical certificate.
- If you are aware that
you are going to be absent from an assessment task, you must notify your
teacher or the HOD ICT in advance. Alternative arrangements can be made
to ensure you do not receive a no credit.
- If you are away for
a short period of illness then you may be required to sit the assessment
or submit an assignment on the day of your return.
- If you are away for
a long period of illness you cannot get an assessed mark. However you can
apply for "compassionate consideration" provided you have (a ) a doctors
certificate and (b) you have covered work related to the same learning outcomes
of that achievement standard.
- If for some reason
you require an extension you must apply to the HOD at least three days before
the due date and supply supporting evidence.
Recording and proof
of assessment:
- The teacher will retain
all assessment tasks.
- A master copy of assessment
grades is stored by your teacher, you are to check the recorded grade and
sign the correct column if it is correct.
- It is the responsibility
of students to keep their own records.
- Do not sign the master
sheet if you question the result of an assessment, until it has been resolved.
- In a situation where
you and the teacher cannot agree on an assessment decision register an appeal
