Homestay Experience

The Homestay Programme is run entirely by the College. The International Department selects Homestay Families and keeps in regular contact with them. All payments are made by the school to the student's Homestay.

Homestay students experience the culture of New Zealand by living with New Zealand families.

Tauranga Boys’ College - Homestays

Tauranga is a very attractive well-planned city with an excellent standard of housing.
	The Homestay Manager carefully interviews the Homestay family prior to their gaining approval and will only select those that meet our high standards.
Students will have their own bedroom, well heated, with good storage and a work desk. The Homestay family provides all meals and laundry and welcome International Students into their family. Homestays are usually within a 8km radius of Tauranga Boys’ College. Students may walk, cycle, be dropped off or may take a bus to the College.
	New Zealand homes are usually detached with spacious gardens and lawns.
