Enrol at TBC


Tauranga Boys’ College has an Enrolment Scheme in place, and selection for entry to the school is based on the Ministry of Education enrolment regulations. It enrols students according to the provisions of Section 11D of the Education Act 1989 and the Education Amendment Act (No 3). 


In-Zone Enrolments for 2024 (all year levels)

If you live in the Tauranga Boys' College Zone click the blue enrol button below to enrol for 2024, there will be some information to read through first.

The following documents are required to be attached with your enrolment (please ensure they are all attached or the enrolment can't be processed).

  • A copy of the student's birth certificate or passport
  • The student's most recent school report (including assessment grades). 
  • The student's NZQA record of learning (for students enrolling in Year 12 or 13).
  • Proof of permanent residence within our zone.  This can be a current long-term tenancy agreement, a sale and purchase agreement or a recent household power, rates or phone account. The document needs to clearly show the parent/caregiver's full name and their residential address.

In-Zone Enrolments for 2024 are to be completed online by the end of Term 3 (Friday 22nd September) please. This will also ensure that a student's Year 9 option choices can be provided, if enrolments are submitted after this date, option choices cannot be guaranteed.                                                                                                      

Year 10 - 13 in-zone enrolments for 2024 will be contacted via e-mail by the Academic Tutor of that year level regarding a meeting and subject selection in November.

We will confirm receipt of your enrolment application, by e-mail supplied, within 5 working days.

Please see the information above for 2024 In-Zone Enrolments and follow the same process. The Deputy Principal will be in touch to arrange a meeting, please be aware that due to our numbers, some junior option subjects and senior subjects may not be available at this time of the year.



Out-of-Zone Enrolment Applications for 2024 (all year levels) - These are now closed.

2024 Out-of-Zone Applications close at 4pm on Monday 4th September 2023

The out-of-zone ballot date is Monday 11th September 2023. Parents/Caregivers will be advised of the outcome via the e-mail address supplied, by Thursday 14th September 2023.

Orientation Morning

On Thursday 23rd November 2023, all Year 8 students who have been accepted for Year 9 in 2024 are invited to attend an Orientation Morning from 8:45am - 12:00pm (more information will be sent out regarding this event closer to the time).
