#traumatotriumph

Keynote SpeakerTony Christiansen

As a result of an accident, Tony lost both his legs and he was only just 9 years old. He was not expected to live past the age of 20 as doctors did not believe he could deal with the pressures of life. Instead, Tony defied all odds and went on to achieve more in his life than most people would even consider trying:

  • A successful businessman
  • A best selling author
  • A qualified lifeguard
  • An Olympic gold medalist in shot put, discus, and javelin
  • Holds a second degree black belt in tae kwon do.
  • A race car champion
  • A qualified pilot creating New Zealand aviation history
  • A qualified scuba diver
  • And against all odds Tony climbed Mt Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain
