Junior Exams – Rules - Tauranga Boys' College
- Ensure your full name, class and teacher’s name is written on your exam paper.
- Make sure you have your laptop and that it is fully charged for all digital exams.
- Your correct school uniform must be worn at all times.
- No food or drink is permitted (the only exception is a water bottle on your desk).
- No phones, earbuds, smart watches or other devices are permitted (they must be turned off and placed in your school bag).
- You may have pens and the required equipment on your desk or in a pencil case.
- No talking or communicating with anyone else (except your hand raised for teacher assistance).
- You may bring a book or magazine to read if you finish early or you may carry on with something quietly on your laptop.
- No leaving the exam room early, you are in there for the whole time.
- Go to the toilet at interval before your exam, if you need to go during the exam then raise your hand and wait for the teacher to give permission (one at a time only).
- Don’t rush through your exam, please take your time, read all of the questions carefully, and then re-check your answers.
- Do not write anything inappropriate or draw on the exam paper.
- In digital exams - you must stay only in the exam tab that you are working in (no other tabs open on your laptop)
- Any form of cheating is completely unacceptable and would result in a mark of zero for the exam, and school consequences.
